A master plan development led by Westmark, Pacific Station features 28 commercial spaces, 16 contemporary designed townhomes, and Hub at Pacific Station, a multi-family building with 60 rental homes. When the property first came onto the market in 2012, it was zoned for single-family homes. Seeing so much more potential in the site, our team proposed our own company vision for the property: an inclusive and harmonious mixed-use community that offered readily accessible amenities and services for residents and business professionals alike.

Wanting to bring new life to the heart of North Nanaimo’s urban core, we wanted to stand out from the standard and generic type architectural style. So, we assembled an award-winning team to create a new design concept for Nanaimo. Carefully considering every detail, our team of design consultants, engineers, architects, and Nanaimo new home builders created a West Coast contemporary feel to each of the buildings with a mix of timber and stone, vaulted ceilings and eye-catching inverted rooflines.

Highly visible from the Island Highway, Pacific Station’s thriving business centre is exposed to more than 40,000 passing vehicles each day. Partnering with several local businesses, we created professional Nanaimo commercial construction spaces for businesses such as SR Fax, Dehoog Kierulf Architects, and Cutting Room.

Riverstone Place is a five-storey multi-family development with one, two and two-bedroom & den homes for sale. The interiors feature a neutral colour palette with a spacious, open-concept layout. Each home has 9-foot ceilings, light-filled interiors, ample storage space, and kitchens with European-inspired cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, and quartz countertops. Surrounded by picturesque natural scenery, Riverstone Place is just steps away from tranquil river trails, forested walking and biking trails, and Nanaimo’s renowned waterfront.

Serving as general contractor, Westmark led the construction of this multi-family project. Other members of the Riverstone team include long-time Westmark partners Raymond de Beeld Architect Inc., Herold Engineering, and Victoria Drakeford.

Now the largest heated storage facility on Vancouver Island, the Nanaimo Minute Men Moving & Storage building is a contemporary purpose-built household moving & storage facility. Serving as the general contractor on this commercial construction project, the facility was built from the ground-up and spans just over 2-acres. It features 19,6000 sq. ft. indoor climate-controlled warehouse and professional office space.

The warehouse is equipped with high-quality HVAC systems, sprinkler systems, energy-efficient LED lighting fixtures, and is secured and monitored with alarms, motion sensors, and 4K cameras. There is also an 8-bay loading dock with an integrated 80’ government-approved platform scale rated up to 500,000 lbs.
