Westmark Construction Participates in the Ride For Life

This past weekend we participated in the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation’s newest event, the inaugural Ride for Life challenge. The competition was hosted by the Nanaimo Airport Authority. Our Staff and Administration paired up with law firm Ramsay, Lampman & Rhodes to compete against cyclists from all across the Pacific Northwest. The fundraiser was a complete success and we will be certain to participate again in the next series of events.

After the starter’s gun sounded at the Nanaimo Airport, our riders wound their way along a scenic route that crossed through Cedar and Yellow Point before crossing the line back at the Airport. Courses of 20, 50 and 100 km were mapped out to suit a variety of riders with different skill levels. After the race we enjoyed festivities, entertainment, and awards for recognition. All proceeds were raised in support of the purchase of essential medical equipment for the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, benefiting health and wellness close to home. Take a look at the images of the race in our gallery. We Ride for Life!
